SEATTLE — Marshawn Lynch and the NFL just can’t seem to get along.
The Seattle Seahawks running back was all set to rock a pair of gold-painted cleats for Sunday’s NFC championship game against the Green Bay Packers at CenturyLink Field, a pair that, according to TMZ, was valued at $1,000.
But according to a report from FoxSports, the NFL planned to eject Lynch if he wore those cleats. They later softened their position, saying that Lynch would not play until he took off the offending (and we use that term loosely) cleats.
