Customizing football cleats became a trend in the NFL during the 2014-15 season. Players from all over the league took the field each and every Sunday in a pair of air brushed or graphic painted cleats that were one-of-ones.
The trend became widely popular among the players in the league this season that Nike had to put a stop to the customization of cleats and threaten its athletes with losing their endorsement deals.
